Open Enrollment Tip #2: Update Your Contact Info

Open Enrollment for 2018 starts three weeks from today! Are you getting prepared? Yesterday we discussed logging on to the WAHealthPlanFinder.org to make sure that you still knew your user name and password. So now what?

Tip #2: Make sure all of your contact information is up-to-date.

• Logon to WAHealthPlanFinder.org

• From your Dashboard, click on the tab for My Profile.

• This page allows you to verify and update all your important contact information:

• Password

• Email

• Notification Preference (hint - email is best!!)

• Phone Number(s)

• Home Address

• Mailing Address

• Security Questions

Since open enrollment is shorter this year, it's important that you don't miss any time sensitive notifications. Make sure your phone numbers and email are correct, and check your mailing address.

But what if your home address is incorrect?

Did you move and forget to update your home address? Are you planning to move, and want to be proactive? Be careful when you update your home address. If you make any changes to your address prior to November 15, it could impact your 2017 coverage for the month of December. Health insurance carrier options and premiums are based on the county that you live in. If you move to a new county your options may be different. If you move within the same county, you can update your address without any problems. You should report any address changes in a timely manner - you may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period for 60 days following the move.

2. Verify your personal contact information is up to date on the My Profile tab
