'There’s an App for that.’

It seems like there is a phone app for just about anything now – you can count calories, count steps, crush candy, get directions, or find a recipe. Even the insurance companies are getting in on the action.

Most of the insurance companies that sell individual insurance in Washington state now offer mobile apps.

While they are all a bit different, most are available on iPhones and Android, and will include:

• Digital ID card

• Doctor finder

• Nurse phone line

• Benefit and Deductible info

Additional options can include online payments, video visits, secure email, and appointment requests, etc.

Even the WAHealthPlanFinder has its own app. You can view messages, upload required documents, and get notifications.
